Judy Catherine (Taul) Bland

Judy Catherine (Taul) Bland, 71, passed away at her home under the care of Hospice of Iredell County on Ostwalt Amity Road Friday, January 13, 2017. Judy was born in Brighton, Illinois on August 5, 1945, the daughter of the late Joseph and Loretta Harren Taul. She grew in the Brighton area, one of 14 siblings, and graduated from high school there.

Judy had been a resident of the Iredell County area for approximately 30 years. She had worked in customer service at various convenience stores. She enjoyed gardening and growing flowers, but mostly she enjoyed being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother and loving her family. She was of the Catholic faith.

Her memory will be cherished by her primary caregiver and granddaughter, Kristin Bland; three sons: James Michael Bland, Sr. of Texas, Joseph Edward Bland of Sherrills Ford, and Jason Lee Bland (Tracy) of Arizona; plus four other grandchildren: Ashley, Brennan, Kylie and Gracie Bland; and three great grandchildren: Ethan, Ariel and Nikioli. In addition to her parents and some of her siblings, she was preceded in death by a son, Jack Dale Bland, Jr., and a grandson, Michael Bland, Jr.

No local services are planned at this time. As were her wishes, her cremains will be taken to Arizona by her son, Jason, for final disposition.
