Herbert R. Hubbard

Herbert R. Hubbard completed his earthly travels on Friday, August 12, 2016, at his home in Statesville under the care of Hospice. He was born in Sebastian County, Arkansas, June 30, 1931, the son of the late Grady Hubbard and Vivian Sharp Hubbard.

Mr. Hubbard has lived in the Statesville area for the past 27 years.  Prior to retirement, he spent some 60 years as a long-distance truck driver traveling from coast to coast. He was a member of Eagle Mills Assembly of God Church of Hamptonville.

Those remaining to cherish his memory include his devoted wife and companion of 56 years, Ethel Himes Hubbard of the home; fourteen children: Nany Howe, Juanita Shelton Kuykendall, Patricia Shelton Jones, George Shelton, Becky H. Davis, Barbara H. Woods, Susie H. Epperson, Debbie H. Lewis, Barry Hubbard, Larry Hubbard, Roger Hubbard, Dennis Hubbard, Brian Hubbard and Wendy H. Robinson; two brothers. Bobby and Adell Hubbard; one sister, Joyce Napoli; plus numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four children: Loretta Shelton, Linda Shelton Polk, Patricia Hubbard and Danny Hubbard; two sisters, Joann and Carolyn Hubbard, and three brothers: Billy, Harold and Jerry Hubbard.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, Aug. 16, at Eagle Mills Assembly of God Church.
