Terry "Scott" Morris

Terry “Scott” Morris, 52, died unexpectedly at his home on Seed House Road on Tuesday, November 1, 2016. He was born in Cumberland County, NC July 30, 1964, the son of Constance Ballew and the late Floyd Leonard Morris. He was the husband of Candy Dodson Morris.

Prior to becoming disabled, he was a skilled carpenter and had been a supervisor in bridge construction. He enjoyed watching football, fishing, reading, traveling, spending time with family & friends and his dog and cats. He attended Horizon Church of Statesville.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Constance Ballew Anderson of Statesville; one son, Jonathan Morris and a granddaughter of Richmond, VA; four step-children and twelve step-grandchildren; and two sisters, Gail Kimble (Donald) and Rebecca Chamberlain (David), both of Statesville.  

A gathering of family & friends will be held at 2 PM Saturday, November 5, at his sister's residence at 120 Constance Lane, Statesville (RSVP 704-872-1607). In lieu of flowers, memorials to help offset final expenses may be sent to Reavis Funeral Home of Statesville at 318 Davie Avenue, PO Box 1201, Statesville, NC 28687.
