Rosa L (Horton) Lloyd

Rosa Horton Lloyd, 81, of Statesville, was reunited with her loved ones on Thursday March 4, 2021. She was born June 29, 1939 to the late Pinkney Horton and Annie May Horton. 7 brothers and 5 sisters preceded her along with her beloved husband Gary Lloyd of 40 years, and her oldest son, Michael Lloyd.

   Rosa graduated from Cool Springs High School in 1957. Rosa attended Oakdale Baptist Church where she served in many rolls over her lifetime. She worked as a teller at Northwestern Bank for over 20 years. She was also employed at Cabinet Makers and Medi Homecare in Statesville before retiring. Spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her the most joy.

   Those left to cherish and honor her memory include her son, Todd Lloyd (Pam) of Statesville, daughter in law, Geneda Lloyd of Statesville, brother, David Horton of Statesville, grandchildren, Jason Lloyd (Allyson) of Statesville, Adam Lloyd (Emily) of Statesville, Samantha Hammond (Colt) of Statesville, Amanda Henderson (Bradley) of Statesville, great grandchildren, Sydney, Amelia, Ada, Kade, Layla, and Blakley.

   The family will hold a graveside service starting at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Oakwood Cemetery in Statesville with Pastor Brian Burgess officiating.

In Lieu of flowers the family would like donations to go to the Outdoor Fund at Oakdale Baptist Church.
