Roger Lee Bruce

Roger Lee Bruce, 63, of Statesville, passed away. May 27, 2021. He was born in Iredell County on November 19, 1957 to the late Eugene Bruce, and Rosie Mae Lambert Bruce. He is also preceded by his sister, Janice Harmon.

Roger attended South Iredell High School, retired after 11 years from Craft Master where he was a frame builder in Plant 3, and attended Fern Hill Baptist Church. Roger loved his family, going hunting, fishing, and playing Bingo at Amvets Post #500.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Michael Vestal (Michelle) of Forest City, NC, daughters, Joni Vestal of Statesville, Rebekah Benitez (Raul) of North Dakota, brothers, David Bruce of Hickory, NC, Danny Bruce of Statesville, NC, sister, Lori Whiteside of Statesville, grandchildren, Layla, Jesse-Lee, Magnolia, Aloysius, and numerous nephews and nieces.

The family will hold a visitation on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Service will be held at Fern Hill Baptist Church on Thursday, June 3 at 2:00 PM, burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery with Pastor Jessie Stroud officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Rogers honor to Fern Hill Baptist Church to a fund of your choosing.
