Louis Thomas Hamel

Louis Thomas Hamel, 66, of Statesville, passed away on October 17, 2019 at Accordus Health in Salisbury. He was born May 27, 1953 in Claremont, New Hampshire, a son to the late Hector Urban Hamel and Margaret Allaine Chisolm. In life, Louis worked in a pharmaceutical factory and attended South River Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father.

Louis is survived by his loving mother Allaine McGee (Dan), sons Bruce Lee Hamel, Thomas Levon Hamel and David Oliver Hamel, his brother Hector Urban Hamel III, sisters Carol Lynn Stewart (Gary) and Susan Denise Bradshaw (Jerry), 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held in Louis’s honor on Wednesday, October 23 at 1:00 PM at South River Baptist Church in Statesville with Pastor Chris Thompson officiating.
