Larry Seagle

   Larry Seagle, age 69 of Statesville, NC departed this world on July 23, 2023 at Gordon Hospice House after a period of declining health.

   Larry was born May 13, 1954 in Chicago, IL.  He was the son of Gay (Arnette) Seagle and the late Robert Kenneth Seagle.  In addition to his father, Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Carrol Seagle.

   In life, Larry graduated from Balboa High School in Panama, then honored our country by serving in the United States Air Force as a jet engine mechanic.  After his discharge, he chose a career in the mechanical field where he worked on cars for Boggs Motor company in Statesville, and later as a jet mechanic for American Airlines for 20 plus years before he retired in 2016.

   Larry leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Kathy, his mother Gay Seagle of Alabama, biological father Larry Shepard of Washington, a daughter Angela Barnes (Michael) of Stony Point, four stepsons Scott Staley (Brittany) of Concord, NC, Jamie Staley of Statesville, NC, and Charles and Randy Haskins, both of Oklahoma,  two step daughters Pam Morris (Kevin) of Oklahoma, and Kim Odom (Jason) of Oklahoma, a brother John Seagle (Charity) of Florida, and a sister Michelle Seagle of Alabama.  Also, surviving Larry are his numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and his two fur babies Dyson and Yoda.

   A visitation and memorial service will be held on Friday, July 28, at Reavis Funeral Home of Statesville with the visitation beginning at 6:00 pm and memorial service at 7:00 pm.
