Janet Ruth Eldridge

Janet Ruth Eldridge, 79, of Mocksville passed away on June 23, 2019 at CMC Charlotte.

Janet was born July 3, 1939 in Tazewell, Virginia, a daughter to the late Clayborn H. Jones and Grace Virginia Nunley Jones. She was preceded by both her parents, as well as Lou Juanita Jones, Robert Hanes Jones, John Pyott Jones, Naomi Lockhart and Delilah Farmer.

In life, Janet worked for ASMO in Statesville. She was also of the Baptist faith. Janet is survived by a large and loving family, including her son William Winebarger of High Rock Lake, son Dean Winebarger of Marion, Virginia, daughter Jeanne Taylor of Olin, brother C.H. Jones Jr. of Horsepen, Virginia, sister Martha Wilson of Centralia, Washington, sister Nada Pearl DeHart of Winchester, Virginia, sister Barbara Lockheart of Horsepen, Virginia, sister Helen Evans of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, sister Frances Mason of Alexandria, Virginia, sister Geraldine Oldham of Houston, Texas, grandchildren Chris Winebarger, Elena Winebarger-Ernst, Julius Winebarger and Mahalie Winebarger, grandchildren Cody & Katelyn Taylor and five great-grandchildren.

A Gathering of Friends will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019 from 5 – 8 PM at Reavis Funeral Home of Statesville.
