Elsie Estelle (Campbell) Freeman

   Elsie Estelle (Campbell) Freeman, 74, of Statesville, NC, entered her heavenly home on February 4, 2022, from Maple Leaf Nursing Home in Iredell County.

   Elsie was born on July 1, 1947, in Iredell County.  She was the daughter of the late Espy Campbell Sr. and Bulah Mable (Cloer) Campbell.  In addition to her parents, Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Freeman, a sister, Shirley Mitchem, and brothers, Espy Lee Campbell, James Campbell, and Jerry Campbell.

   In life, Elsie worked in the healthcare field as a CNA for Olin Village.  She worked there for 10 years before retiring.  Elsie was a Christian woman and was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.  Elsie leaves behind to cherish her memory, three brothers, Melvin Campbell, Clifton Ray Campbell and Roger Dale Campbell, all of Harmony.

   A graveside service will take place at Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery on Tuesday, February 8, at 4:00 pm.
