Thomas Eugene Bruce

Thomas Eugene Bruce, 42, died at his home Sunday, February 25, 2018. An Iredell County native, he was born June 17, 1975, the son of Rebecca Mae Brown and Hoyt Lee Bruce, Sr.  

Thomas was employed as a drill operator with 3D Environmental Services. He enjoyed fishing, but he also enjoyed repairing things. He was a real “handyman” who could fix almost anything he tackled. He was loved by all who knew him.

His memory will be cherished by his father, Hoyt Lee Bruce, Sr. of Statesville; his mother, Rebecca Mae (Brown) Robinette; his step-mother, Bonnie Anthony Bruce of Troutman; two brothers, Robert Bruce (Erin) of Jacksonville, NC, and Chris Gobble (Jodi) of Chocowinity, NC; six sisters: Barbara Bruce of Hiddenite, Janice Bruce Isenhour of Hickory, Carolyn Rivera (Luther) and Melissa Solis, both of Statesville, Amber Gobble of Greenville, NC, and Amanda Gobble of Hamptonville; plus many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Hoyt Lee Bruce, Jr.

The family will schedule a memorial service at a later date.
