Shirley Ann Campbell Lambert, 80, passed away at Iredell Memorial Hospital Sunday, April 16, 2017, following a brief illness. She was a native of Iredell County, born December 23, 1936, the daughter of the late Edward James Campbell and Willie Blanche Munday Campbell. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Ann Goodman; a granddaughter, Crystal Dawn Goodman; and two sisters, Rosalee Wooten and Margaret Smith.
She leaves behind her husband of more than 35 years, Ray Lambert; one son, Jerry William Marlowe and wife, Becky, of Statesville; two sisters, Brenda Welborn and Kay Ballard; five grandchildren: Angie Price, Bobbie Jo Hayden, Michelle Lee Marlowe, David Keith Marlowe and Erica Sue Marlowe; plus nine great grandchildren.
Mrs. Lambert had been a member of Stony Point Church of God. Her career was that of a homemaker for her family. Despite being legally blind, she was an amazing seamstress and she made many little dresses for her granddaughters. She was a great cook and enjoyed gardening, especially flowers. She also loved to fish.
