Leon "Marty" Cleveton Odum

Leon “Marty” Cleveton Odum, 57, of Troutman, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018, at Maple Leaf Health Care after a period of declining health. Born June 3, 1960, in Iredell County, he was the son of the late Mary Day Troutman.

Prior to becoming disabled Marty was an electrician with IBEW 379 and enjoyed drawing. He had attended Landmark Church of God.

He leaves behind his wife of 21 years, Melanie Jo Taylor Odum of the home; one son, Max Odum of Harmony; one daughter, Mary Odum of Harmony; aunt, Linda Troutman; his foster family, The Wilcox’s and special friends, Cynthia Proffitt and Carolyn Benfield.

The visitation will be held Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Reavis Funeral Home of Statesville from 4:00 PM-6:00 PM. There will be a graveside service Monday, February 26 at 11:00 AM in the Troutman Family Cemetery with Rev. Mike Maffucci officiating.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Shane Taylor, Matthew Taylor, Jerome Taylor, Dustin Taylor, Scottie Taylor, Stevie Campbell and Jerry Campbell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Reavis Funeral Home of Statesville (P.O. Box 1201, Statesville, NC 28687) to help offset final expenses.
