Kevin Randall Medlock

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Kevin Randall Medlock, 36, who died at his home in Statesville Monday, September 3, 2018. Kevin was born in Alachua County, Florida, March 10, 1982, the son of the late Stephen Gregory Medlock and Nancy T. Johns Medlock. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenny Medlock.

Kevin grew up in Florida and attended schools there. On April 12, 2013, he married Fara Gail Smith of Statesville. He was employed with Kewaunee Scientific Corporation of Statesville. He enjoyed his leisure time with outdoor activities such as camping and fishing.

In addition to his wife, Fara, of the home, his memory will be cherished by his Florida family who are his Memaw, Nancy Johns, Sr., a sister-in-law, Mandy Medlock, two special nephews, Gage and Gabriel, and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins; plus his Carolina family who include brother-in-law Ron Smith, mother-in-law Geri Smith and father-in-law, Paul Smith, all of Statesville.

Services will be private.
