Jerry Joe Myers, Sr.

Mr. Jerry Joe Myers, Sr., 63, passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 21, 2018, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Iredell County, born March 3, 1955, the son of the late Joseph P. Myers and the late Betty Sue Watt Myers.

Jerry had worked most of his life in various construction jobs. He was a football fan (any team except the Panthers) and in recent years had become an amazing cook. He loved his family and was never a complainer.

His memory will be cherished by his son, Jerry Joe Myers, Jr. and wife, Mackenzie, of Mooresville; his daughters, Alicia Addington (Curtis) of Stony Point and Christina Henson (Terry) of Mooresville; one brother, John Myers of Georgia; three sisters: Vivian Bustle of West Virginia, Vickey Barr (Raymond) of Statesville and Jane Benge of Olin; ten grandchildren, Devon and Christian Addington, Alexis Myers, Riley Addington, Payton Myers, Hunter Addington, Haven and Josiah Myers, and Austin and Brooke Henson; two great grandchildren, Randy Douglas and Jolene (“on the way”); plus a good friend, Roy Burgess, Jr. a/k/a “Bubber”.

The family will have a private service at a later date.
