Fred Ostwalt Obituary
Mr. Fred Lewis Ostwalt, 49, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at Gordon Hospice House. Fred was born February 11, 1969, in Middletown, Connecticut, the son of the late Calvin Zane Ostwalt, Sr. and Annie Pearl Lambert Ostwalt. He spent virtually his entire life in the Statesville area where he attended Iredell County Schools. He became a skilled automobile detailer and worked in that field until failing health resulted in his disability.
He is survived by his wife of more than 18 years, Buffy Williams Ostwalt; one son, Justin Ostwalt of Statesville; one daughter, Kayla Prevette of Statesville; his step-children, Joseph Halcomb, Stephanie Watts and Danielle Watts, all of Statesville; three brothers, Calvin Z. Ostwalt, Jr., Brian Ostwalt and Dale Ostwalt, all of Statesville; plus five grandchildren.
Private family services will be conducted at a later date.
