Ronald "Keith" Neaves

Ronald “Keith” Neaves, 59, died suddenly at his home in the Harmony Community Saturday, April 8, 2017. Born November 12, 1957, in Guilford County, he was the son of the late Thomas Ray Neaves and the late Mary Shepard Neaves Massey, and the widower of Barbara Ann Goldbaugh Neaves who died in 1997. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Gary Massey.

Keith attended Statesville Senior High School and prior to becoming disabled as a result of a trucking accident, he was a truck driver. The companies he had driven for included Salem Trucking, J. B. Hunt and J. B. Wooten Trucking. He was a devoted fan of the Carolina Tarheels and the Dallas Cowboys, and he enjoyed traveling, mowing yards for friends and most of all enjoying his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by three daughters: Shelly Neaves and son, Malachi, of the home, Jessica Peacock (Alan) and children, Justin Neaves, Isaiah and Lillian Peacock, of Vale, and Rebecca Salas of Harmony; two sons, Michael Neaves (Elisa) and son, Declan, of California, and Robert Neaves of Florida; four brothers: Michael, Timothy and Ricky Neaves, all of Statesville, and Randall Neaves (Pamela) of Troutman; one sister, Lisa McGee (Mike) of Mooresville; plus his special extended family: Minister Michael Sharpe of Statesville, Carlton and Ashley Goldbaugh of Missouri, and Lenatte Goldbaugh of Florida.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 18, at Oakwood Cemetery in Statesville. Officiating Ministers will be Renee Harrold and Michael Sharpe. In lieu of flowers, memorials to help offset final expenses are requested to be sent to Reavis Funeral Home, PO Box 1201, Statesville, NC 28687.
