Karen Edward Taylor

Karen Edward Taylor passed away at her home Tuesday, November 29, 2016, just three days after her 67th birthday, following a period of declining health. She was a lifelong resident of the Olin Community and the daughter of Dorothy Glasscock Taylor of the home and the late James Edward Taylor.

Karen was a graduate of North Iredell High School and Mitchell Community College. She had been a member of Hebron Baptist Church and had worked as a seamstress in the textile industry.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by one sister, Angela Taylor Drum and husband, Mike, of Whitsett, NC; one brother, Ronald Eugene Taylor of Stony Point; one niece, Mary Drum, one nephew, Doug Drum, a great-niece, Meghan Drum and a great-nephew, Cameron Drum.

A graveside memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, December 2, at Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery where her cremains will be laid to rest at her father’s grave. Pastor Darren Johnson will officiate.
