Judy Elaine Chapman Dixon, 66, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017, at Brian Center of Statesville following a period of declining health. Judy was a native of Iredell County, born June 16, 1951, the daughter of the late James Edward Chapman and Emma Josephine Peele Chapman.
Prior to becoming disabled, Mrs. Dixon had worked in the fast-food industry. Her employment included seven years at the Burger King on Hwy. 90 and also several years at two Hardees locations. She had been a member of Crestview Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Michael Lee Dixon of Statesville; two grandsons, Sean Lee Dixon and Damien Michael Dixon; and one sister, Patricia Wyatt of Statesville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Wilson Chapman.
No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials to help offset final expenses may be directed to Reavis Funeral Home, 318 Davie Avenue, PO Box 1201, Statesville, NC 28687 which is serving the family.
