Jack Lee Eyrich

Jack Lee Eyrich, 68, passed away with family by his side on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, 2017, at Gordon Hospice House after an extended period of declining health. Born March 29, 1949, in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Paul Eyrich, Sr. and the late Dorothy Fick Eyrich.

Jack grew up and attended school in Pennsylvania, but had spent most of his adult life in North Carolina. Prior to becoming disabled, he worked as an equipment operator in various manufacturing industries. He had been a member of Crystal Waters Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR racing and watching wrestling on television.

He leaves behind his wife of 33 years, Debra Sue Broome Eyrich of the home; two daughters, Maranda and Dorothy Eyrich, both of Statesville; one brother, Paul Eyrich of Reading, PA; three grandchildren: Tyler M. Broome, Monica Broome and Makenzie Eyrich; plus his “adopted kids”, Jessica Graham and Jennifer Wilcox.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sons: Donald Broome, Paul David Eyrich, Paul Joseph Eyrich and Jack Eyrich; and one brother, Ed Eyrich.

There will be a Memorial Gathering of Family and Friends at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 9, at Reavis Funeral Home of Statesville where memories will be shared.
