Billy Edgar “Buddy” Minnish, Jr., 59, passed away at Iredell Memorial Hospital Thursday, August 4, 2016. A lifelong resident of Iredell County, he was born August 23, 1956, the son of the late Billy Minnish, Sr. and Barbara Jean Stevenson Minnish. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, “Eddie” Minnish.
Until his health failed, “Buddy” was a longtime employee of Engineered Sintered Components in Troutman. He loved people and was always reaching out to help others. He was an avid Tarheels basketball fan and also a fan of NASCAR.
Surviving are two sons, Joshua Minnish of South Africa and Jacob Minnish of Statesville; one brother, Steve “Turtle” Minnish of Statesville; a sister, Cynthia Nabors, of Mocksville; and two special friends, Rusty Warren and Mark Souther.
In keeping with his wishes, no services are planned. His cremains will be scattered in the mountains and valleys he loved.
